Exhibit Design for Speculative All-Terrain Concepts
This project began with a vision for a tech-enhanced automotive exhibit for the mock brand 'Vista'. The core objective was to demonstrate 'all-terrain' capability through an immersive, digital-physical environment. The design centres on a massive, arching shell and a cascading 'wave' of LED cubes that bridge the gap between organic architectural forms and modular technology.

Rapid Prototyping: From Sketch to AI Exploration
Initial sketches were used to anchor the aesthetic, which were then expanded through rapid configuration trials in Luma AI. This phase allowed for the quick exploration of lighting, color palettes, and large-scale architectural gestures, helping to solidify the high-contrast 'Vista' atmosphere and the interplay between electric cyan and warm amber tones.
Geometric Validation: Precision 3D Modeling
To address the complex spatial requirements and rationalize geometries that AI could not fully resolve, the concept was translated into a precise 3D model and rendered in TwinMotion. This step was crucial for validating the architectural forms, mapping out the cylindrical screen projections, and ensuring the technical feasibility of the 'voxel' screen wall and car placement within the spatial constraints.

Environmental Narrative: The Dynamic Terrain Wave
A 'wave' voxel backdrop acts as the exhibit’s centerpiece, blending environmental storytelling with physical structure. By projecting generated topography and perspective-mapped terrain graphics onto the backlit LED modules, the space transforms into a living landscape that reinforces the vehicle’s all-terrain DNA. This wasn't just a technical demo; it created an inviting, high-impact photo backdrop, placing the visitor at the heart of the adventure.
Cinematic Immersion: The First-Person Vista
At the far end of the exhibit, a curved panoramic display delivers a high-fidelity first-person driving experience. For those entering the vehicle, the screen provides a 'cockpit' view that transitions through diverse environments, from dense, sun-dappled forests to expansive mountain paths and high-tech urban streets. This immersive layer serves a dual purpose: it offers the visitor a visceral sense of the vehicle’s handling across varied terrains while acting as a cinematic, large-scale backdrop for photography that captures the thrill of the road.
